A New Stategy

So when Ron originally came up with this brilliant idea, he thought..

1. Put BOOBS on the internet
2. Link to affiliates
3. ?
4. Profit

And he got nowhere…step 3 is always the problem, isn’t it? I wouldn’t say he was naive, but he (we) had no idea how any of this worked. My wonderful hubby is one of those guys who actually reads users agreements, and terms of services. **cough**nerd**cough** Imagine his shock to discover that you can’t advertise porn on Google! At least not legitimately. I’m sure some people work around the no porn thing. But the one thing I insisted when he started this is that he be completely on the up and up. No spam, no sleazy pop-ups, pop-unders, spyware, or pretending that this isn’t a PORN site for ADULTS.

I know a lot of people don’t have those kind of ethics but I do. I insist on that. So where do we go from here?

I took over the marketing for our lovely site and hatched a decent marketing plan around building an audience through social networking and social bookmarking sites. I’ve lurked at a lot of these sites for years and never had any reason to jump in a let my voice be heard. Now the plan is to speak my mind, and let my profile bring actual interested people onto our site.

We’re going to try and build a real audience one reader at a time. We’ll see if that’s naive in a couple of months too.
